1099 Nation is a nonprofit founded in 2000 to simplify entrepreneurship and decode the project economy. Our community is made up of new entrepreneurs who we call “Builders”.

The Project Economy is a fundamental shift where work moves away from permanent, W-2, repetitive routine tasks and gets organized instead into specific, temporary, goal-oriented projects. It redefines how we learn, earn and build businesses.

Project Economy Preparation:

1099 Tips is a free newsletter published by 1099 Nation. It began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as a private blog to advise enterprise and government clients on how to support small businesses nationwide during the crisis.

Our Impact Today:

• Audience: Currently reaches 10,000+ Builders nationwide.
• Schedule: Delivered every Wednesday, plus a surprise second edition each week.
• Content: Actionable insights to guide new entrepreneurs to success in the Project Economy.
